Tonight marked the premiere of Chris Wheeldon’s new ballet, “The Nightingale and the Rose”. When the corps de ballet came offstage after the performance, a single rose was waiting for each of us, color coordinated to match the color of the rose bush we each portrayed in the ballet. A very sweet gesture.
