Sorry for not writing for so long, we’ve been so busy over here in Miami performing Jewels and what not, and now we’re on tour. We just went to Berkeley, California where we performed Nine Sinatra Songs, Agon, In the Upper Room and now we’re in Detroit, doing a similar program, except replacing Nine Sinatra Songs with Raymonda Variations.
We’ll soon be back in Miami, but in the meantime I just thought I’d stop by and post a nice little Haloween picture I took. I know it’s a few days late, but that’ll just have to do! I’ll write more soon!

The wonderful Wizard of Oz!

You guys were amazing in Berkeley! It was great seeing MCB for the first time. I snuck up to the first row in orchestra after the first intermission - Edward Villella was sitting a few rows behind me! I loved the three male “stompers” in “In the Upper Room”, you guys totally stole the show. And that piece is one heck of a workout.
Hopefully you guys are returning next year…? I’ll definitely be there again. Have fun touring -

Hey Jolene, not sure if we are returning next year, but I’ll definitely let you know if we do! And Sasha… why would Alice be in the wizard of oz? Hehe, that would be Dorothy, and I’ll let her know you said that. Haha

We (my daughter Samantha’s ballet school friends & parents) saw the Miami City Ballet at UC Berkeley as a group on Friday night and you all were FANTASTIC!!! I hope the dancers noticed the enthusiastic applause and noise at the conclusion of the evening. Then we were privileged to be able to watch the company warm up and a bit of the rehearsal Sat afternoon and Alex you certainly showed what an amazing dancer you are! Thanks for putting on a great show of your own for us-we were properly dazzled and impressed by your talent. Also the tall blond guy ( maybe Marc?) was hilarious-it was fun to see some of his combinations ended with such comic flair. Kyra is such a beautiful dancer and looked fantastic and Mary Carmen was amazing too. I loved watching Mr. Villela lead the company in the warm up. I was struck by how much musicality, rhythm, soul and charisma he has. Y’all better come back to Berkeley soon! We’ll treat you and your friends to lunch and/or beverages, ok?
