Nora and Laura

Making small repairs to some Diamonds costumes backstage. They are so nice. It makes putting our costumes on that much more fun - they are like a family.

Laura is also a burlesque performer. We’ll let you know when she has her next show!

A close up of the amazing Diamonds bodice. These costumes are VERY heavy!

I realized tonight watching Diamonds that there is something about the costumes I never liked: the feathers on the shoulder and on the headpieces. I think they should be removed. They remind me of plucked swans!

    Awesome!

I want someone to make costumes for me :)
I’ve known Laura for eons. She used to design gothic clothing and I used to model for her.

Ironically I’ve never seen her perform burlesque…we should make it a group outing :)

Thanks for the close-up of Diamonds- they are so gorgeous! Made me want to re-read Toni Bentley’s fabulous book on Karinska, she was such a stupendous talent and her career covered just about everything from showgirls to opera. The pictures are so marvelous too.
