It’s been such a FULL fall.. So many shows, festivals, the Benefit, etc etc. With Nudance festival now finished, and the end of the year approaching, I am beginning to realize the enormous amount of work ahead of us. One of the two pieces for the New York Season (March, ‘09) is “Pelleas et Melisande”. We premiered it this past March. It is being re-worked a bit, and I almost forgot how much I love it. Sibelius’ score is just full of nuance and depth. I think more than I remember.
We also have to start the new baby (new piece to John Adams piece of music).
One step at a time. The thought of being on stage with musicians is absolutely intoxicating. I can not wait to hear it live. The amount of work we need to do to raise the funds to make it happen is massive. But Lynn and I are just trying to keep a clear perspective, and unyielding work ethic to make sure it all happens.
