Every year the dancers at Miami City Ballet collaborate and put together a show called “Our Show” where we take charge of everything from the choreography to the advertising. It ends up being an eclectic mix of different kinds of dance forms ranging from Classical ballet to African dance. I don’t have much time to write because I have another show in a few hours, but I thought I would post a few pictures and a video from rehearsal a few days ago.

And here’s a video of a rehearsal for the piece that Jeremy and I did for the show. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the compliments!
Lindsey, I didn’t know it was a Paramore song, so I went to go listen to it after your comment! It was so cool! I really thought that maybe it perhaps wasn’t a cover of anything cause it sounded so good as an instrumental!
Neodancer, here is the link for the youtube video. Enjoy!

The video is great! The dancing by both of you was excellent although I think when you dance in front of an audience Alex your engagement factor goes up. You usually reach out to a live audience like nobody I know. I think you’re a lot gifted and a little cwazy (=special performer).

Thanks Dee! I agree with you completely about the audience thing - for me it’s just not the same!

Alex, I saw this in the studio but just got around to the video. It’s great to see two of my favorite MCB dancers in tandem. All that was missing was Baker to make it “Stompers II.” I enjoy reading your comments because, from the audience point of view, all one can see is the joy of performing and an incredible natural dancer, beautifully trained. Glad you came to Florida!
