You should organize this for Grand Central Station in NY. It would be fantastic - and with all of the dancers living in the city (and reading the Winger) it could be fantastic. Might even be a great publicity stunt for dance in general. At the end of the performance have the dancers hand out a 1 page listing of all the upcoming dance events in the city.
Or just do it for NYCB. Having a bunch of NYCBers dancing in ad-hoc settings around the city and then handing out a card listing up coming performances. A lot more fun and a lot more attention grabbing then just ads in bus stops (which I just love as well).
There are so many perfect places in the city to do this - including Grand Central, Penn Station, Port Authority bus terminal, Times Square, Central Park, at the Metropolitan Museum. How about dancing down the ramp at the Guggenheim. Or the lobby of MOMA. Or the World Fianancial Center atrium. Or … well you get the idea.
I am too feeble to dance - but would be happy to volunteer to help in any other way I could to organize this.

That’s so cool, thanks for sharing. We so need more of that kind of event art here. Would it ruin the art if it was corporate sponsored?

Hal, glad to hear that you think it would be a great idea.
I considered proposing doing something like this at Grand Central for Dance Parade after seeing this clip:
