Savion Glover arrives for the Vail International Dance Festival

A big hello to Kristin and to all reading on the Winger–

So the Vail International Dance Festival is about to begin! Chris Wheeldon and most of the dancers from Morphoses settled in earlier this afternoon, Savion just landed, and we are still waiting on Wendy to touch down in Denver but she will be here soon.

Tomorrow we hit the ground running with Savion at the amphitheater for opening night, and Morphoses starting rehearsals in the morning. We’ll be posting throughout the festival to keep you all up to speed on how the performances are going and tell you about festival life here in Vail,  but now it’s time to load in– the New York Philharmonic just finished their Sunday performance and the theater is ours!
