This past week classical ballet had its day in the sun on So You Think You Can Dance, for the first time ever! Ade and Melissa performed as Romeo and Juliet and it was such a smash it propelled them on to the Top 12. The rehearsal footage also features one of LOLAstretch’s newest styles, Sputnik 2. Not a bad pair of firsts if you ask me.
(In the spirit of full disclosure, I am extremely biased in this matter as Melissa is one of my great friends and old roommates from Milwaukee Ballet and also a LOLAliaison.

Although each person brings a particular talent to that show, Melissa is a stunning powerhouse and breath of fresh air. I honestly hopes she wins it all!

I was so excited to see a classical pas de deux on prime time tv. What a wonderful breath of fresh air for SYTYCD…. and I love Lola! Great work
