The company has still been as busy as ever. Last Thursday marked the official opening for the SYREN collaboration with the Art Students League entitled “Dance on Canvas” This program will allow visual artists to draw/paint/photograph SYREN in rehearsal. SYREN will be rehearsing a few times a month in the gallery at the Art Students League in Manhattan. We are thrilled to be launching this exciting event!
This past Sunday, we had a successful showcase of “Pelleas et Melisande” excerpts at APAP (Pentacle showcase at City Center). Now we are indulging almost full time into the new piece (Shaker Loops). Just endless movement phrases, turning things upside down, backwards, duets into trios, you name it! All sorts of experiments. This is the fun stuff, so we are really enjoying this special time.
