KATE BORDWELL is currently writing her PhD thesis in history at Glasgow University. A native Scot, she is a recreational ballet and contemporary dancer who has recently moved up to Glasgow from London and has begun taking class at The Scottish Ballet and Dance House. Kate is an enthusiastic ballet and dance-goer, and during her six years spent in London she made the most of her location and saw a huge selection of some of the world’s best dance companies perform.
She is currently sampling the cultural delights on offer in Scotland, of which there are many. When not dancing or writing she likes cooking and then eating what she has cooked. Her greatest ambition is to visit New York and Frankfurt to see the NYCB and William Forsythe’s Company ‘at home’.
