Hi there.  This is a question for Evan M:  What's it like working with Marco Goecke and having him as resident choreographer of Stuttgart?  About two years ago, I saw a piece he choreographed for Peter Boal & Company at the Joyce Theatre in NYC, called "Mopey" and performed by NYCB corps member Sean Suozzi.  I was intrigued and inspired by Goecke's choreography (and Suozzi performed the solo exceptionally well).  How do you enjoy Goecke's choreography, the rehearsal process, interacting with him in the studio, etc?  Thanks!

Hi Evan N,

I have thought long and hard about what I might say to summarize how I feel about the 'Goecke experience.'  to be concise...

Working with Marco is like masturbating for the first time; You don't know what you're doing, you feel akward and in some cases even immoral but you establish a rhythm and follow your instincts until you start having fun.(which is inevitable, so I'm told Wink)......Oh, and nobody does it the same as anybody else.

Some people are offended by it while others can't get enough.

I think Marco is a creative genius.
