Back at ABT this lovely morning for open class, after a nasty battle with a stomach bacterial infection. Thought I had done a good job avoiding the Balinese water, but I guess not good enough.
Three days in bed makes it extra hard to feel strong for the start of our rehearsal period, arghhh.
Time to hit the gym.

Just me said,
Kristin, were you in Bali for relaxation or to see Balinese dance? I love Balinese as much as I love Balanchine. If you haven’t seen it, watch the World Music Institute Website for future performances!http://www.worldmusicinstitute.org/
Sorry for your stomach woes, I had my share when I was in India, so I empathize. Hope it doesn’t slow you down.
This is the first time I’ve seen your site, and it’s really wonderful!

I actually took Doug there for his birthday. So I guess it was for both relaxation and fun experiences. I really wish we had been able to see some Balinese dancing. My friend recently gave me a Dance Magazine from the 50’s that had an article about Balinese dance and it looked incredible.
The people that took care of our villa actually invited us to one of their ceremonies. Their ceremonies begin around 9PM and sometimes last until 3AM. Unfortunately we had had a long day, and were still trying to deal with some jetlag (we usually passed out by about 10PM), so we weren’t able to go
It would have been incredible to experience traditional dance with our new local friends. Maybe next time!!
Thanks for the link, well wishes and compliments. The site will also be getting a nice makeover soon.
