Firebird

Just wanted to share a photo from our “Firebird” that we performed this past June. This was the ending pose after the “crazy dance till you die dance”!

I would love to do it again! But we are moving on and on, getting ready for you Kristin! and looking forward to “Swingin’ at Club Sweets”-rehearsals will start on that soon! Then we have the Grand Prix in February, in April an interesting show collaborating with Savannah Children’s Choir and our June show. That’s all so far………..
I feel beyond busy already! Maybe the summer is not long enough!

At my monthly hip check up at Dr. Bharam’s office and this is the most prominent piece of reading material.

Was this an accident or a bad joke? Most of the people coming in here have trouble walking in sneakers, let alone studded patent leather platform stilettos.

The news is that a request for an MRI arthrogram including cortisone injsetion has been sent to my workers comp case worker and hopefully we’ll be able to schedule it once I get back from Savannah at the end of August.

Took my first ballet class in months and rode The Cyclone at Coney Island today…….you can imagine how my body feels!

About to get a haircut at a tiny east village salon called shampoo.
The art on the walls is really cool, hopefully the cut will be too. I
really need it. I’ve been so busy lately I feel overgrown. I feel like
somehow too much time in front of the computer accelerates that process.

Location Scouting

We are on week 9 of the 12 week LOLA Design Lab project, so now Erica and I are scouting locations for the next LOLAstretch photo shoot that will feature her new leotard design. She proposed a skatepark theme and I couldn’t think of anything more LOLAstretch than that! So this morning we found ourselves under the Manhattan Bridge on the Manhattan side after getting a tip from a former pro-skateboarder.

What fun we are all about to have……..ballerinas and halfpipes…….next up is the scouting the park on 108 and Riverside.
