I apologize for my long absence! I spent the summer in the city rehabbing a severe hamstring injury. I have had to re-train myself to move in a more intelligent way: stabilize my lumbar spine, strengthen my core, and break up the scar tissue and strengthen my leg. I’ve been attending physical therapy three times a week, I go to the doctor regularly, had several MRIs and x-rays, I go to acupuncture regularly, I swim at the JCC, and go regularly to Pilates and Gyrotonics. Its been a lot of hard work and at times tedious and frustrating. It will take more time and effort, but my leg is finally beginning to heal and I hope to return to the company a stronger more methodical dancer.
