TITAS gala

I am so ready to be a New Yorker again…

After a month and a half of touring the country with two days in the city in between… I am ready to be a little domestic and enjoy spring in the city. Probably the most beautiful time here in crazy NYC.

Over this past weekend, I traveled to Dallas to dance in TITAS’s command performance gala with Gillian Murphy. While it was a plesure to dance with others such as Yuan Yuan Tan, Lorena Feijo, and Herman Cornejo it was Gillian and I’s trip to the Nasher Sculpture Garden that made it all worth while.

Here are a couple of pictures taken in the garden with Gillian, in one way or another, acting out what we were seeing.

I wondered where this post went… Great pictures and interesting exhibit. Weird but at first it looked like the Korean War memorial in DC — I think it’s the Korean one (with all the silver statues — have you ever seen it when you’ve been there?), but then I realized the people weren’t soldiers… The picture of you walking on the steps is cool. I like Gillian’s sweater and jacket.

Very glad to have you back in NYC now for a while :) Less than 5 weeks!!!!! And, who’s doing Sleeping Beauty this weekend?! We all know how much you just love the intimacy of the Guggenheim :)

Perhaps my favorite post ever of yours D. Love the pictures….kind of feel like I should have been there! It’s amazing that you are allowed to mingle amongst the sculptures with such freedom but glad you can because I love the photos. Will we be hearing from you again soon ;-)

Wow! So many performances! What did you dance? I saw you in Romeo and Juliet in Chicago- you were breathtaking. Have a good Met season! Lindsey

Gosh I love those pictures!
Interesting how you and Gillian being dancers, can just take the ‘body language’ of the sculptures and ‘join in conversation’. ;)
