Thanks for the little write-up, Sophie B! My friend went and sat in orchestra but I haven't heard from her about what she thought (I know she went to YAGP perf yesterday too, so she is probably busy :) ) I can't wait for tonight!!!

Yes! I was at the dress rehearsal last night; it was so fun and I really enjoyed it. I sat with a few friends in the Third Ring on the left, so we had a nice view of the stage. I thought the moving set was very cool, and the costumes looked really nice. Sterling Hyltin and Robert Fairchild were beautiful!! I also loved Joaquin de Luz and Daniel Ulbricht and it was great to see Jock Soto on stage again! (he was so scary when he slapped Juliet, the whole audience gasped!) The whole cast did a great job and everyone danced beautifully.
I did see dancers sitting in the first two rows in the orchestra (I couldn't tell who many of them were since it was dark but I was pretty sure I saw Andrew Veyette). I thought it was pretty exciting when I came back to my seat during intermission and discovered that the curtain was up and all the dancers were warming up onstage -- a nice peek at what goes on when the curtain's down. Peter Martins came on amid the dancers and introduced many of the people involved, all of whom had been in various episodes on TragicLove.
I think this dress rehearsal was a great idea and I hope they do it again! Gwyneth, good luck and merde to you, Kristin and Sophie!

Gwyneth, it was great seeing you as a demi in SYMPHONY IN C and also to see Ashley in AGON...the Balanchine programs were beautifully presented and everyone's dancing so well.
