John Moran and Saori are at P.S. 122 -- I saw an excerpt at Catch 26 at the Bushwick Starr and I'm amazed by the technology of what they do, as well as their pathos/feeling. The danskdansteater -- at Joyce Soho 2 weeks ago was also intense and riveting -- I'm sure I'm missing something tonite but I have to rest up from those long Wheeldon evenings at City Center which, in my opinion, were worth it -- it was a sashimi symphony of dancers, movement and music -- I know that doesn't make any sense but, this is a blog right?

I saw "Things We Lost in the Fire", a movie about grief and addiction, beautifully portrayed by Halle Berry and Benicio del Toro. Loved the silences and extreme closeups of the camerawork, which made me as an audience member to really watch the physical performances of the actors, instead of listening only to the dialogue.

Mark Morris' "Mozart Dances" (ending their run in L.A. last night) is always inspiring!

I know, I've been eagerly awaiting the Bel ever since Maia wrote about him!

While I am sure you have a great eye for work that is a must, you are seeing dance etc from an insider's perspective. This is not bad at all , but you are obviously pinged by different things because of your place in the world of dance.

I don't expect an art critic to comment on what's on their must see dance list, but it might be very different.

Artists tend to be very open.. and good for that too. That's how creativity flows in and out.
