Veronica,

What is the red rope-type thing he is using? I also see some on the black board on the back of the picture. They look very interesting. Thanks. Great pictures.

In the late 70's Finis had a wonderful huge studio on the upper west side. He taught barre from a platform he built way up above us. He was using a microphone because his vocal chords were hurting .It was amazing. He was one of the first ballet teachers to offer a "ballet class for modern dancers with a floor barre". He has always been so innovative. Recently I was taking an Oriental Belly Dance and heard that he was teaching upstairs. I walked in to class and he said " Barbara is that you?". I had tears in my eyes. How could he remember my name after so many years? I will always be grateful for Finis teaching. I loved his beautiful , emotional adagios . I am now teaching the first ever Belly Dance Foundation class for Modern and Ballet dancers in RI. Circles of live.
