[...] Anyway, sorry I’m so late with my Ballroom Challenge post! This week has been insanely busy and I have tons to blog about — Movmnt magazine blogger party Monday night (which Taylor and Evan have already excellently covered), continuing legal ed seminar Tuesday (which, don’t worry, I won’t be blogging about, though it was one of the more interesting CLEs being on sex offense legislation), book party for a friend last night (which Ariel has already excellently covered, but I will blog about as well! — along with Movmnt party), and tonight an Op Ed writing seminar, for which I chose to try my hand at a gun control piece, and consequently have lovely homicide stats coming out of my nose… Anyway, I promise to write about ABC tomorrow!!! Thanks for all the comments on the last post, you guys [...]

Thanks for writing about it, Taylor (and Evan!) I've been so busy, I haven't had a chance to post on it. I had several other thoughts too after we left. Hopefully we'll have another chance to discuss soon. Hopefully Benaym will send us the pics soon too :) Thanks to David for organizing and having us all at his office -- very cool to see Movmnt's headquarters and go through all those mags!

We missed you Philip. We'll definitely have to do it again with more notice when everyone can come.

I'm sorry to have missed it but I stayed home trying to shake the last remnants of this stupid flu that's been dragging me down for three weeks. Looks like the next 'formal' opportunity for everyone to meet will be Cedar Lake but in the meantime I think we should try to find a time when we can all get together at Pain Quotidien or some other congenial spot and just talk.

[...] February 19, 2008 Last night I attended a blogger get-together hosted by movmnt magazine, a quarterly dance, fashion, music, and pop culture publication that just published its spring 2008 issue. Journalist David Benaym, the magazine’s editor in chief and publisher, invited us to the magazine’s headquarters, where he and other magazine staff joined us in a two-hour round-table discussion that covered myriad dance-related topics. Several dance bloggers attended, including Taylor, Tony, and Brian (all from the Winger), Tonya, and Doug. Everyone had something interesting and thought-provoking to contribute to the conversation, which started with some discussion about blogging personalities versus real-life personalities. It’s interesting to interact with dance bloggers primarily online (via commenting on blogs) and much less often in person. Clearly there’s a different dynamic when a bunch of bloggers are sitting around a table in an office! [...]
