A few summers ago I couldn't get in to see Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" (the print was cleaned and original score were resotred) at NYC's Film Forum. However I did get to see it because the response was so huge that the film played for a few weeks at the Ziegfeld - the best movie screen in NYC! I'm guessing I'll be in for another wait in the near future. There was a story yesterday morning on NPR that about 20 minutes of "Metropolis" footage was found in Argentina. I’m waiting “Dark Knight” out for another week or two…
