Many dancers in the company (Ashley Bouder in particular) have worked very hard at gathering numerous items to auction off to benefit GMHC through AIDS Walk New York. The New York City Ballet team did the walk which took place on May 18th, organized by dancers and some wonderful NYCB volunteers. They are still raising money - up until June 10th. (Check out Philip’s photos from the walk at Oberon’s Grove).

View the EBAY auctions to see if there is anything you like. There are signed shoes, tote bags, programs… and 100% of the final auction price will be donated.
This first round of auctions will end around noon tomorrow - 5/27.
We will be listing a few more 3-day auction items tomorrow including 2 signed posters and four prints by Kyle Froman.

Thanks to NYCB AIDS Walk Team member Carron Leon, we now have three more items available for auction to benefit GMHC (through the NYCB AIDS Walk Team).

First is two items together,
- The boxed version of the book “Tributes“, singed by NYCB Director Peter Martins, and
- A pair of Darci Kistler’s pointe shoes, signed by Ms. Kistler herself.

The second is
- A poster of Baryshnikov in Le Jeune Homme et La Mort, (not signed).

HERE. Three more days remaining on the R+J items, and these items above have 5 more days remaining.
Carron was also sweet enough to include a photo of some of the NYCB AIDS Walk Team members at the start point this past Sunday.

We are now auctioning off two NYC Ballet Autographed Romeo + Juliet Posters, as well as an autographed R+J Tshirt on ebay. The starting price for each item is $10.00, the shipping is Free, and all the money will be donated to the NYCB AIDS Walk Team.
Unfortunately this got delayed, and the actual walk took place this past weekend. But fortunately, the money from the sale of these items can still be donated to the Team.
The auctions started this afternoon and will last 5 days. You can view all three HERE. If you have any questions, let me know.
Good luck!

Dancers Ashley Bouder and Tom Gold have been working overtime to raise money for this year’s AIDS walk. In addition to collecting individual contributions from fellow company members, they are also hosting bake sales on Saturday afternoons before the matinee, selling their own homemade goodies. Everyone agrees that they’re doing an awesome job (although I’m not so sure that the wardrobe department is thrilled with seeing the dancers eating gooey chocolate cupcakes in their costumes!)
Way to go guys!
