Modern/Contemporary dance represents 63 percent.
Ballet companies make up 8 percent.

The next slide notes that 51% percent of all companies are 501 (c) 3’s. Dance/NYC is discouraging this type of non-profit because the benefits of being a 501 (c) 3 no longer exist, and the work and cost of operating in that manner are very high.
