My MacPro tower is getting an upgrade today, and our new hard drives are apparently GreenPowered. The western digital website says they consume less power… “the equivalent of taking your car off the road for 14 days each year”. We’ve got four drives, so I guess that’s 48 days? Although I’ve got the motorcycle, not a car … So maybe its the equivalent of not even having the beemer to begin with?

Nope. These are the solar powered lights along the garden path to our house.
Just had one of the scariest drives home…
First, wasn’t wearing a jacket or full pants or a full coverage helmet, and for some reason thought it would be a good idea to ride through the Gauntlet of bugs, er, I mean the Avenue of the pines. Needless to say I got pummeled by big sharp critters.
Then, the rumor around the theater was that all of Saratoga lost power (we did the show with generaters apparently) but when Faye called Yvonne and Austin at home they said we were ok with power at the house. But when I pulled off of Avenue of Pines I found no street lights, no stop lights, and a lot of scared drivers. When I arrived home this is all I saw, and when I got inside, Austin and Yvonne were cooking in candle and flashlight!
It’s that time of year… Baby blue gets detailed before coming out of hibernation. Truly the best way to get around the city. Gotta love that west side highway.

Hey Megan, don’t worry about “eating your words” re: the San Francisco weather… It’s plenty warm in New York City.
We went to our friend Tara’s birthday party last night, and everyone was hanging out outside on her boyfriend Mark’s roofdeck. With no jackets! (except for me because I’m always cold)
This photo was entitled “Winter’s Dead Forever” when it went out on Thrillist (a daily email similar to Daily Candy but geared more towards boys.)
So enjoy the warm weather…
But if you drive, maybe consider getting a hybrid.
