HER KIND
I would like to introduce you all to somebody very special.
Laurel Dugan is a wonderful dancer, teacher and a dear friend of mine. She is also a Sarah Lawrence alumnus. She and I took class together with Viola Farber way back in the day (1998). Since then we have reconnected and been conducting dance and media experiments together. Laurel has a wonderful sense of humor and likes to put on my glasses when we improvise.

At Laurel’s invitation, I will be guest teaching next week at Dalton high school where Laurel teaches dance and composition. I am excited to be working with young techno-philic dancers. It will be a great opportunity to exchange information, opinions and ideas about dance and its ceaseless transformation.
Over the next week Laurel will be performing down on the Bowery in…
HER KIND: The Life and Poetry of Anne Sexton by Hannah Wolfe
