I love this ballet, John Cranko was a genius The way he tells the history is just great. The Ballet de Santiago is very lucky because Marcia Haydée is our director. Cranko created many ballets for her and now she is here in Chile-such a great Ballerina and Actress. Well I hope you enjoy these pictures, and thanks for your comments.
I took this with my first camera, I remember I was on the stage and running to the the 3rd floor to take it. This is not a digital picture, it’s with a negative, and was the first one I developed in my dark room.

Look how lucky we are, here is Marcia Haydée and Richard Cragun working with Andreza and Luis.

Lidia and Nicolas in the Balcony Pas de Deux with Georgette Tsinguirides.

Marcela and Gabriel, this was the first time he danced Romeo and he did very very good.

Andreza, very nice Juliet.

Ballet de Santiago is a very special company, Marcia always said this company has not just very good dancers, but also has very good actors and that makes this a special ballet company.
Here is Margarita and Paulina in Mercutio death scene rehearsal.

Luis Ortigoza with Marcia and Richard in Balcony Pas de Deux.

Marcia, Andreza and Luis in the last scene.

To me this is a very special picture, Andreza and Luis rehearsal and in the mirror Marcia Haydée and Richard Cragun.

Loreto rehearsing Lady Capulet.

Luis Ortigoza in the Balcony Pas de Deux.

Andreza and Luis.

Marcia.

Marcela and Gabriel, I was her Paris the last time and it is always a pleasure dance with Marcela.

In the stage rehearsal, Richard Cragun, Marcia Haydée, Georgette Tsinguirides and the two Ballet de Santiago Star dancers Luis Ortigoza and Marcela Goicoechea.

Hi, everybody. These are the first words I am writing in this page and it is very intimidated and exciting. For many years I have been dancing for the Santiago Ballet of Chile, at the moment under the direction of one of the most brilliant actresses and dancers MARCIA HAYDEE. For the company as well as the theater it is a luxury to have her these four years and I expect many years to come. To me, her presence in the studio inspires me and we all receive through her, the huge heritage of JOHN CRANKO.
In our last season (august) we danced two programs POEMME DE L´EXTASE and INICIALS R.B.M.E. both CRANKO`s ballets. This last ballet was created for CRANKO and the principal company dancers at the time. One of them was RICHARD CRAGUN, and I can`t described my feeling to be rehearsed by him, MARCIA and REID ANDERSON (Stuttgart Ballet Director). To have the three of them in front, giving me and showing me the legacy of Cranko it forces me to work even harder to feel one of the most sublime pas de deux in the world of dance.
This gala had also another exciting element, our two first principal dancers received the highest tittle existing in Chile for dancer “STAR”. MARCELA GOICOECHEA AND LUIS ORTIGOZA have danced around the world and received excellent national and international critics. The gala was very special to all of us. To celebrate 150 years of our theater and to have dancers from all over the world dancing with us sharing this special moment.
Well I hope you enjoy the pictures. I never thought so many people would see my work, this is very intimidating and exciting.
